I took my father here for his birthday so he could be pampered. We both scheduled time in the sauna and massages. Our therapists were Linda and Kate. Linda was wonderful and delivered exactly what I wanted. My dad said that Kate gave him an incredibly relaxing massage which left him renewed and stress free.
The owner has done a wonderful job in creating a healing, holistic and restful space at Kure with blue, white and dark brown tones, and a beautiful water feature along one wall. There are private lockers for your things and spa robes and slippers. So wonderful and so close by. I would recommend Kure to others.

I came to Kure for a massage, but wound up buying a package with an infared sauna and facial. I only did the massage on the day of my appointment, so I can't speak to the sauna and facial yet.
I received a massage from Dorothy. She is absolutely sweet! I didn't feel pain, but felt her working my body. This was my first time, and quite frankly, I didn't know what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recomment her.
The shop is cute and quaint. My room was dimly lit and they played soft music during your session. Most importantly, the place was clean. I look forward to returning to get my sauna and facial. Will report on that next time. =)

My mom and I just had an amazing afternoon at Kure - thank you Debbie for your amazing service and hospitality! I had a deep tissue massage with Debbie, the owner, and my mom enjoyed a swedish massage with another therapist (whose name escapes me). I have had many massage therapists work on me and Debbie has been the only one to make me actually fall asleep!
Typically I leave a day spa feeling like I didn't get quite enough - but Debbie was so attentive to my "trouble areas" and the massage was so thorough. I will definitely be making this my regular wellness retreat! For massage services, Kure gets 5 stars, hands down. The only reason I could not give 5 stars on the overall rating is actually very minor: The brightly colored kids dixie cups and fortune cookies on the refreshment tray in the waiting room felt more suitable for the under 5 crowd. Also, there was no formal receptionist or welcome desk - which makes it a little confusing for newbies walking in the door.
I highly recommend Kure to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a convenient location with superb massage services. I'll have to update my review when I go back for a facial and a infrared sauna experience!

I make it a practice to get a massage at least once very two months, if not every month. I usually like to try new places and I usually refer to Yelp for such recommendations, and am always looking for the right combination of quality work and fair (to low) prices. I went to Kure on a friend's recommendation, and was initially skeptical because of their prices, which were not as high as I have seen at other high end spas, but not as low as I have been paying at some of these places I'm finding on Yelp. I do believe that you get what you pay for, but with services like spa treatments that is not always the case.
Enough about that, let's get down to it. Dorothy at Kure gave me the best massage I've had in my life. Yes, I just said that. After 10 years of getting massages, only to be told at the end that I am too tense and should come back in a week so they can finish, Dorothy finished. Put that mind to rest sick perverts. She went deep, found my knots, and worked them out. I left there feeling brand new and saying to myself "that's what a massage should feel like".
So in the end, it was well worth the money spent. Not one complaint here, contrary to the cheaper places I have been going to which although save me a few bucks, always give me something to complain about. I am going here for my massages from now on.
So, nothing new - but just reiterating that this place is great!

I've not had a ton of massages to compare to however those I've had were at hoity toity Sonoma or Napa spas. Kure's facility is tastefully decorated with all the right calming effects, professionalism yet personal. I had the Swedish massage with Linda - hands down the best ever. For the first time after any massage, I felt relaxed which is a feat in itself for me!
So, nothing new - but just reiterating that this place is great!

Have been back to Kure a few times now... and I am as happy with each new visit as I was with the last!! I have had facials with a few different girls now, and they have all been fabulous!! Same with their massage therapy, although I don't stray from Debbie because she is simply the best!! Also had another acupuncture treatment, I am definitely hooked now!
I always feel amazing after my spa days at Kure... and i'm sure you will too! Highly, highly, highly recommend this spa. I would never go anywhere else!!

I was in desperate need of a massage last week and called Wednesday morning to see if I could get in with anyone. I got an appointment that evening with my new savior Linda Sanches. I have been on the hunt for a good deep tissue massage therapist for almost 2 years now.
I've gone all over the bay area, from Changes in Walnut Creek to Burke Williams in San Francisco, with no luck-I've either had an hour a lotion getting rubbed into my skin or I've been in tears and excoriating pain that's left me sore and bruised for 3 days. ..but not anymore!
Linda explained more than anyone ever has about deep tissue and the breathing techniques that must be followed during the massage or it basically won't allow her to access those muscles.
What? And just making it hurt doesn't mean your getting the best massage. Huh? I spent 90 minutes with her working on my neck, shoulders, arms and feet, and it was like a little slice of heaven. I left there feeling like a new woman and vow to go back every 2 weeks right now until my neck and shoulders get looser.
Anyone in need a good massage therapist, look no further. Linda is the lady you need to get those knots out and help you feel human again.

I can't tell you how great this place is! They offer so many services. I just got the absolute best massage from Debbie today and an Acupuncture treatment from Marion.
I have had a pain in my neck for several months and after going to a chiropractor and not getting any relief, I decided to try acupuncture. IT WORKED!
The pain is gone and I can move my neck without the pain. I am a fan for life! I am so relaxed and stress free, right now, I don't know what to do with myself. You have to try Kure Wellness Retreat. The place is beautiful, the parking is plentiful and the staff is AWESOME!

This is such a tranquil place to relax, unwind and pamper yourself. I received a wonderful massage from Dorothy Mai whose massage techniques put me into a deep state of relaxation.
She is one of those rare massage therapists who can subtly transition from a relaxation massage into a deep tissue massage. Dorothy has become my new vitamin "M" (massage) because all of my posture related ailments (migraines, fatigue, neck aches) are soothed away after a session with her.
