Just had another fabulous massage at Kure last night. Debbie listened to my concerns about pain in my foot and hip and targeted those area during my full body massage and made recommendations for stretches. She always goes above and beyond just a 60 minute massage. The spa is relaxing, convenient. and not too girly so my husband feels completely comfortable going for appointments there as well. I have also had a couple of really great facials. I would highly recommend the spa to anyone.

I found Kure while shopping downtown Danville a couple of months ago, and after checking out their reviews on yelp decided to make an appointment. This spa is beautiful and inviting, and has a great energy. (Love the waterfall!) The staff has an obvious love of the place and for healing people, and are super friendly. I arrived 30 minutes early by mistake, so decided to ask if I could get a bikini wax. I had been getting waxing somewhere else and was happy, but missed my last appointment and was in need...what a great surprise! Carla fit me in, and was so fast and pain-free with my bikini that I decided to try the B-word...yes, you know, a Brazilian! Yikes ~ I'm a big baby, but this girl is so amazing at waxing it's awesome. Come to find out she has 12 years experience, and it shows! She's a little pricey but OMG worth it! I'm a convert. Next I had a 60 minute massage with Debbie, which was incredible! She listened to what I wanted, and I had the best massage ever! The perfect balance of "hurts good and feels good". Just wonderful. I then met Cheryl and she gave me an amazing 60 minute facial. I've never had such a detailed and relaxing facial, even with extractions, and she did the best facial massage techniques I've ever felt. The organic Eminence products are amazing, and my skin still looks great. Their prices are really reasonable, especially considering the amenities and location. I am impressed with every detail of this little spa (I loved the organic bamboo robes too!) and now that I know what to expect I'm making 90 minute appointments for next time! Thank you fellow yelpers, this place is a find. I'm officially a "Kure junkie".

Dorothy Mai gave me an amazing 75 minute massage for only $75.00! This is a special price and it's uncertain how long it will last but the price is simply a bonus. Dorothy does an excellent job of creating the perfect relaxing environment and she's a gifted massage therapist. I'll definitely be back, even after the special is over. I can't say enough good things about her!

Last night I slept like a champ! Had another massage with Grace - and it was the best! The bf finally relented and went to get a massage with Grace before mine. (He typically does not get massages because he complains that they are never all that good and that they are not 'strong' enough). He 'actually' agreed that Grace gave him the BEST massage he has ever had - how about that! Trust me, this guy is REALLY hard to please. He even went as far as trying to figure out when he would get his next one!

So, nothing new - but just reiterating that this place is great!

This spa is "Magical." It is tranquil with its serene seafoam green colors, soothing blues and lovely creams. It feels like you are stepping into an enchanting dream with the gorgeous water fountain.

My massage therapist, Dorothy, is AWESOME!

Dorothy is super sweet and easy to connect with. I have seen her several times and I have been amazed by her healing hands. She is intuitive and I love the techniques that she uses to bring my body and mind back into balance. My body feels pain free and pampered when I leave. Her massages are truly the BEST that I have ever received. She is a gift and I am so glad that I have found her!

I HIGHLY recommend Kure and Dorothy to everyone. You might just find that you never want to go home. ;)

A friend recommended this spa to me, and im so glad she did! It's such a welcome change from the hubub and noise of other salons that try and cram spa services in. This is a very calm and tranquil environment and it was very easy to relax and enjoy my massage with Debbie. I carry my stress in my shoulders and they were like rocks before the massage. I felt so much more relaxed and all the pain was lifted from my shoulders afterwards. I also had a facial/ wax with Julie Harris, and cant say enough nice things about it. She waxed my brows perfectly and gave me a great natural looking arch. The facial was relaxing and effective and I could see the differnce in my skin immedietly. She used products that smelled and felt wonderful. Also both services were cheaper than traditional day spas I've been to.They also have a large selection of products to buy, not only spa products but jewelry too. I took home a beatiful new pair of earrings! Kudos to Kure for taking the expense and hassel out of spa services. I'll be back next month!

This is such a tranquil place to relax, unwind and pamper yourself. I received a wonderful massage from Dorothy Mai whose massage techniques put me into a deep state of relaxation. She is one of those rare massage therapists who can subtly transition from a relaxation massage into a deep tissue massage. Dorothy has become my new vitamin "M" (massage) because all of my posture related ailments (migraines, fatigue, neck aches) are soothed away after a session with her.

KUDOS previous yelpers. This place was amazing. From the moment you walk into the building you are greeted with the warm scent of lavender and the cool torquise, cream and brown colored decor is so calming, as is the giant water feature on the back wall.

My hour long swedish from Rachelle was by far the best massage I have ever had. She diagnosed ailments in my body within minutes of starting and offered simple remedies, like simply drinking more water!

My friend received her massage from Debbie and said it was fabuluous as well.

They are cheaper than neighboring day-spas and offer more professional service than anyone I've ever gone to.

The only thing I didn't like about my massage: that it had to end :(

Can't wait to go back!!

I had a wonderful experience at Kure Wellness Retreat when visiting my sister in the bay area. I went here to treat myself as I have been going through a tough time in my life and felt the need to take care of myself. I enjoyed a wonderful massage by Rachelle, it was very relaxing and just what I needed. She was very in tune with what was going on in my body and really knows her stuff. Very intuitive. Julie, the acupunturist was very attentive and extremely knowledgable. It was the first time I received acupuncture and I was really nervous about it, but she immediately put me at ease and I found it to be relaxing, which was a nice surprise. Ruth Kellogg worked with me on some intuitive, spiritual healing. I have never experienced anything like this before and she really helped me with the issues that I am currently facing. If you are going through a tough transition in your life or simply want to feel better about some things, I highly recommend Ruth. I liked her very much.

I then enjoyed 30 minutes in the infrared sauna. It is tucked away in it's own separate space and it was just the perfect thing to do between treatments. This is not like those dry, rock saunas. I don't like those, but I did enjoy using this one with the infrared heat.

Overall this was a 5 star experience. Everyone was so nice and professional and it was just what I needed. It is casually elegant and very clean. Next time I am visiting the bay area I will definitely go back.

The decor is beautiful, soothing, and I believe they have local art displayed on the wall. Each room is decorated beautifully. I've been to all the shi-shi spas here in the Bay Area and in exotic locations around the world and I can confidently say that Deb is the best of the best. I came here because I am a devotee of Debbie Lindsay's massages. She used to be at Tribez, but has now opened her own day spa in downtown Danville and it is absolutely fabulous. The setting is very serene and peaceful and the decor is beautiful. She offers lots of fantastic services including massage, assisted stretching and yoga, acupuncture, facials, and a wonderful sauna. I also love that she carries the Eminence line from Hungary and tries to use all-natural, organic products (good for you AND the environment!). My mother and I went for a massage, facial and sauna yesterday and the entire experience was positive. No one gives massages like Debbie - she got lots of kinks out of our backs and really understands the physiology behind the issues that cause pain and discomfort. Her spa takes a very holistic approach to wellness and her prices are very reasonable, especially considering the location.
